I hear they'll be shutting down the AFL again soon if things don't improve.

Seriously though, Vic and NSW have the most challenging problems. Large numbers of people in high and medium density, and seemingly more of a problem, groups of families that are not quite listening to the advice to keep their distance from each other.

Here in WA, during the height of the lockdown it was still easy to keep your distance from others and still respect social distancing rules, and it didn't really impact life that much. Add to that a border that is pretty remote and easier to police. I expect that SA and NT are the same, with Qld not far behind.

Despite everyone loving the Premier here, and he does seem to have done a great job, Victoria is a much more challenging state.

I think we have to see these problems happen as lots of people still think 'it's not a thing' and do what suits them.

Have they partitioned Victoria yet? I can see that on the cards if infections pop up. Divide Melbourne from the rest of the state, and then divide Melbourne up as places clear up... if not, keep them locked down.

I see the same dumbos are out there stocking up on dunny rolls again.

Don't they get it? There is probably never going to be a full lockdown, where grocers are closed, you can't go food shopping and the government delivers food parcels to homes in a perpetual state of emergency.

Honestly, how stupid are some people?

With WA's population density, the R0 would be less then 1.0 without anyone measures in place.

Oops. It appears that 'they" have disappeared yet again.

Which puts this thread firmly back in the comedy spirit instead of the right wing nutter whinge vibe.

If it's the same dumbos, they must have used up their earlier purchases. So buying more makes sense

You haven't spent too much time in WA then have you? I would say percentage wise they are probably equal.

I was a bit surprised when they announced a cap of alcohol purchases and it was more than I expected to buy in a month or a year, yet their was per visit per day!

Well, I think NSW would be similar if we all spread out and lived in Broken Hill.

It was amusing though that in 'Iso' I was walking along the beach here and perfectly legit. yet in NSW people were stuck at home most of the time.

I am a bit worried that people here will assume it is all good and that they needn't worry about it, which means that if there is a an outbreak, it may go unnoticed for a while. I hope that we get regular community testing as without it, something could sneak in. Even if not now, what about in 6 months down the line or 2 years from now?

Moaning? Me? A bonbon now? Why thank you.

Who's moaning? I was pocking fun at the whole sorry state of affairs down there but the usual suspects had to go and score vacuous political points.

I feel for those south of the border. They have a lot to deal with. Why not laugh along with them and cheer them up?

Maybe start another negative moaning topic about Labor corruption in HW. If it's therapy for ya, go wild cobba.

Leave the laughs to us over here.
