Hi,

just got my new kite and wanted to fly it with an older slingy bar. Is there a possibility to trim the kite/bridle configuration. Especially for higher wind Situation where Maybe a smaller kite would be necessary.
Except of Course the depowerrope from the bar.
Thanks for all your help.

I realized, when trying out, that the backlines (or the Attachement rope) seam way too Long.
Anybody else experienced this. I think I must shorten them at least for 3 Inches.

I think the Slingshot bars are set funny like this . I've adjusted a few Slingy riders bar that were using other brand bars on their SST's. But I had to extend the back lines. So yes if you are using a slingy bar with another brand kite you may have to shorten the back lines.

Thanks for the Reply. So what should the lines look like if they are perfectly balanced and provide best allround kite Performance?

They should be fairly even when pulled in ( nearly all the way ). The simplest way is just make sure it doesn't back stall when you pull the bar in too much.
