Council is looking to start ferry routes in the bay which will include shops and carparks etc. I think its a bad idea. Make the waterway busy and less natural and area crowded with parked cars.
What are your thoughts?

Great news ...public can whale watch....every other floating object uses the bay ..oil and cargo tankers...jet skis maxing out on speed limit..motor boats...sail boats...cruise ships may be docking there in near future...poison heavy metal seawater ... bull sharks...oh and windsurfer and kiters...international aero passenger flights overhead landing nearby every 10 minutes...welcome to Sydney..
Absolutely no Worries
Anyone thinking's of kiting in the area used by the ferry would be out of there minds
It runs across the shipping lane at the entrance to Botany Bay
nsw has a way of making everything useless into an international tourist attraction
in vicco we just just call them for what they are - white elephants.
Sounds like a great idea, less cars on the road.
Kurnell has massive tankers, I'm not worried about a ferry.
If it isn't a car ferry then it will totally be a white elephant. Who the hell is going to get a ferry from a suburb with nothing but a rocky outcrop and a seafood restaurant to another dead end suburb which has even less, a fish and chip shop and an oil refinery and fk all else to see and do. (If you're not a kiter that is)
At least a car ferry means people from the shire can experience all that the eastern suburbs has to offer, and vice versa.
If anyone bothered to read the article they want to extend the ferry routes to Sans Souci and Brighten so basically they will turn Botany Bay into Sydney Harbour where all Kitesurfing and Windsurfing will be banned. See how this does down with you.
What the plebs dont understand is the bureaucrats need to be seen to be doing things to justify their very high salaries, so they build light rails that no one uses or wants, or bike lanes that no one uses or road tunnels that no one uses or wants.
