I just came back from Exmouth, the actual wind stats are taken from Learmonth Airport which is over the other side of the range and very inaccurate. There is a wind meter at the Discovery Centre on the Ningaloo side of the range, it's about 500 metres from the coast and it's much more accurate. weather.aims.gov.au/#/station/8

you don't need a forecast for exmouth. there's just a simple question to ask yourself:

is it after 1pm on any day between September and February? if yes, then put a 9 and a 7 in the car and drive to the beach.
