Hey does anyone else ever feel crook in the guts after they get off the water? The funny thing is it seems to happen after I've kited at places with rocks/oyster beds.
I'm wondering if its from scratches (walking on the reef) or swallowing dirty river mouth water when stacking it. Anyway never seems to happen in the open ocean waves.
I've been that excited about a session that I've nearly shidt myself or given me the runs
Had the biggest headache after an 8ft Tasmanian Marawa session in 35/38 knts
due to adrenaline , and shat through the eye of a needle after a curry
You need to talk to a doctor
Not THE DOCTOR for gods sake anyone but him but a physician.
Tell them where you kite explain to them the forces of kite generated on your harness
It could be anything from dirty river water to kidney cancer
Even bring the harness in for them to see.
I say this because no i dont. And ive kited in places with human corpses dog corpses cow corpses nappys needles thousands of boats pumping out **** and piss in still lakes and all sorts of disgusting places.
Are you a foiler?
Maybe it could be the pain of being the uncoolest guy on the water manifesting itself as a physical symptom...
Until the wind winger shows up, then you are golden?

What i love most about the wind wing is that its EXACTLY like the nigerian scam
Who gets scammed by prince adubadabuh? When every single person knows about the nigerian scam?!? Well only the very very very stupidest of people thats who! And thats exactly why they say HELLO MY FRIEND IM PRINCE ADABADUBBUH PRINCE OF NIGERIA if someones stupid enough to carry on after that they know theyre in the money!
Once they know your silly enough to foilboard they know your silly enough to windwing its like fish in a barrell at that point.
All this foil development and not a single reinvention of the air chair.
I would honestly get on an airchair in a heartbeat. If im going to mow the flipping lawn im going to do it while flipping above all the other peasants preferably 6 feet above them. Just chilling sitting down queen waving them as i pass or turning my nose up its the 2 hours of fun that is a jetski before its retired to the shed
Ashley while im on a rant with a skinfull
The windwepon is the best invention i have ever seen. It combines hang gliding and windsurfing.
Now the natural progression is combining kitesurfing and paragliding. Which is parakiting and its existed for well over a decade now and do you see ANY of the brands jumping on it?!? They even publicly released parakiting plans so you can make your own many years ago now.
But nahhhh safety sales and profit. At some point people need to pioneer things. I believe our focus on competition and winning within a set of perameters slows down our advancement in what we can do with equipment and how we can modify it. Sure... Deaths tend to follow any real leap or bound but i think this business of silenceing those that strive to experiment and change things is ridiculous. We must look like absolute pussys to the frontiers in the 60s weve barely moved the envelope in decades.
So if your thinking ohhh he hates new stuff hes set in his ways. Its not that at all... I just know that these watered down toys are simply dragging the feet of real development theyre malasses
Its going to take obviously not just one person doing something for a decade on his own but a fair few. Anyways i hope we get theyre one day. If paragliders can fly over large bodys of water without fearing of instantly drowning to death but to kitesurf along it. It would change the entire game completely.
Thanks for the input fellas- I'm pretty sure its not shame (I dont foil) maybe it is the harness because Im flatwater jumping (hard work) as compared with ocean ramps.
Btw: I'm thinking of getting a spare 7m converted to a wind wing to use with my landboard so i can kite the footpath to the beach- does this count? I swear I wont use it on the water.

If your not foiling , maybe try riding without your board shorts over your wetsuit
In all seriousnes...... if your harness is hitting your ribs, and you have a fracture there or anywhere, that could be doing it. I used a friend's harness one that was two sizes too big, and got smashed by the metal harness fitting, instantly felt sick for days / weeks afterwards.
If might the way it's fitting is cutting off circulation or some other peristalsis or something. ;??

This actually makes sense, recently did a kite trip and one of my friends was feeling nauseous after only an hour of kiting the first couple days. Took a look at harness and she had forgotten to put the comfy backing pad back on behind the spreader bar when re assembling gear after travel. Spreader Bar was riding up against her ribs ..... put backing pad back on and problem solved.
Hey again thanks for the advice- I'm probably due for a new harness anyway.
For information: I checked all the water quality council readings for the places I kite and couldn't find a correlation so probably not pollution.
Btw: I came up with a boss improvised harness solution while I was looking around- ill find a good pic or make a video and put it up .

Ummmm its okay... We dont need to watch you make a harness out of rope
When harness are concerned, price does not equal comfort or performance.... try them all in a jig, try and get the bar to angle up and hit your ribs.... model specs generally mean nothing, it's more a fluke to get the perfect size and cut style that fits you.

Maybe just go and have a checkup with your GP too, just to be sure?

Fark that
he might say what my neuro surgeon told , STOP kiting,

wants a second opinion
gets the same opinion

I think he was a windsurfer
Actually one my doctors was a kiter but he was a foiler it took us on a 5 second relationship where we went from hell yeah we both kite lets go kiting together to i go here (flat water freestyle spot) he says i go here (deep ocean foiling) and like that we hated eachother. He never gave me my extra day off work. Basterd.
