Hey guys,
I'm currently planning a kite road trip to Australia this November for ~2 weeks.
Things I'm looking for (in the priority order):
- Lots of wind, would like to kitesurf everyday
- Good spots for wave riding (intermediate level)
- Long, sandy beaches
Given the above, should I head to West or East Australia?
For East Australia I consider a road from Sydney to Brisbane and for West, Perth and go to the north (not sure how far yet).
What would you recommend?
Thanks!
WA. Start in Augusta and drive North. I'd say head for Exmouth but that's a push in 2 weeks. Realistically you probably won't get much further than Gero given how many good spots there are.
I'm from the East. Its a cool trip for fun.
But for wind.. Go west for sure. Its a desert, but if you don't mind that then it's the best trip ever. Flat water, surf, what ever you like.
No wind or waves or sandy beache's on the east coast sorry
I see what you did there...
WA all the way, windy always
weve the windiest area in Australia, if it ain't blowing its arse off I'll treat you to free breakfasts, here's a project I've been working on as part of wind water project
The wind water trail goes from safety bay to Exmouth, driven by local passionate buisness who Kite/ surf/ windsurf, I'll have live wind readings updated every minute, and hopefully all locations will add, basically we lead you on a great Kite trip
and advise you at each location on local conditions and spots, we will have the Midwest windfest here in november22/23/24, a social gathering with all the latest gear to demo at south beach Dongara/ denison
Local spots, but all the way up the wa coastline
Bring an extra set of clothes, just in case you eat at the above mentioned cafe.
Speaking of that
are you still parading around the house in your mums underwear when she's out

Are you still outside my window watching?
Or, if you want better waves west coast of nz. But it will be colder, good waves spots might not be sandy beach, with more varied wind conditions.

Wear his colour and you'll have a good chance
