Lucky if you are in QLD .. have fun

Seems like a lot of stuff. Which shop warehouse area.?
Strange that it all got water damaged. Surely a hose down and dry off the retailers could charge close to full price.
Any postage arrangement possibilities to Vic.
Can anyone confirm it's not a scam?
If it's water damage I'd be concerned about mould. They've used file photos instead of lot photos so you don't really know what you're bidding on.
Also, it's not an unreserved auction so they could just be stirring up a lot of interest without any real bargains to be had. That said, if I was in Queensland I'd be bidding all over the place and hoping for the best, colluding about fixing maximum bids with my local posse.
You guys clearly have no idea what the kites are worth. Theyre worth nothing. The only worth is outbiding your opponent by the smallest increment over and over and over again causeing them a week of stress and anxiety and then simply disapearing because you were useing all fake generated details via vpns etc etc
Now THAT is how you auction
My take on this is that it was the fire at wind surf snow Sydney and the water damage would be from the fire brigade .
You don't really know the condition without viewing. Could be fire water or both damaged.

You spend time doing that?

It makes sense some of the boards looked mouldy or dirty, possible smoke stains.
One of the SUPs (listed as windsurfer board) looks like it has bubbles, but the pics are so small.
Not QLD but i scored a new quiver of kites for 2 sheep in NZ off some bloke called plummet,
I heard that they were already pregnant

Haha lololo what a stupid/poor person thing to say- thats not even close to how it works.
You look at the product then bid your highest bid and the website will automatically incrementally bid up to your limit while you go on with your life ( and usually forget you bid on something till you get the win email).
I really hope you have gone to all the trouble (you are stressing sweating) of doing all the above to try "stooge" someone while they weren't even aware of any of it.
I max bid $200 on a $1000 board and got out bid in like five minutes- now im going to water my lawn.

Copy on the 10/4
Shame there are no full on repair kits, other than the canopy mesh crap. Interesting scraping the website and comparing bidder IDs, there is certainly a shop or two bidding!
At first I was interested. I then did some research. All these items come from a massive fire down Sydney way.
Thats like 600-1200 degreese.
You can see in a majority of the photos there is thick black marks at the bottom of the sail boards. Looks like they have been sitting in boiling sooty water. The sups and saildboards degrade at around 100 deg.
I did notice some sail masts that are still wrapped in plastic, I think they would be ok still. The wetsuits seem ok as well.
To Lloyds defence, I think they are posting a fair condition report with the following photos.
Lot 12
Lot 4
Quick wipe with a magic eraser and a bit of an agressive rub with a file on the serial number and shes perfect for gumtree and facebook marketplace mate.
Heaps of new gear has been put online .. only a few days to go.

The company was possibly glad of a fire to be able to claim on some of the old kit they had no hope of ever selling. A 16m 2006 Cabrinha SwitchBlade 2 still wrapped new in the bag for example, and new in bag control bars for 2004 era kites (that sneakily had the main pic as a new control bar on them). Looking at the auction today, a couple of the boards went for crazy prices considering they were 2016/2017 models which are actually selling at lower discounted prices at local shops or on SeaBreeze.
When i started getting medsages from people who didnt even kite about the auction i pulled the pin. Bitcoin all over again.
interesting to note tht some of the prices have halved since last night. One kite was 1K plus, now its' $610
Causehecan were you fake bidding again?
Ok, here is a test for you,
Bid on the second last item, 5 second before the auction finishes.
So that the auction keeps having to add 15 seconds and never ends.

It would most likely be the insurance loss adjuster recovering, not the shop.
Some of the prices, once you add "buyers premium" and postage end up about half retail, taking into account possible invisible damage, no warranty etc. hardly seems worth it.
Caveat emptor
Everything else went for 3x to 6x what I was willing to pay.
I wanted to get a pair of kitesurf pads. North vario footpads.
There was over 6 pairs for sale,
4 were sitting at around the $60 mark, yet 2 few pairs were sitting at $140.
I dont know why people would bid up two items - when 4 identicial pairs are $80 bucks cheeper????
Interesting that when you add the 22% and $17 posatage, the footpads were selling for ~$6 less than retail price...
It sure got crazy there. Prime example is this control bar.

Main pic is stock photo of a new 2019 bar. Actual description and second pic of actual item is of a Cabrinha Powerlock bar case circa 2004 or so. Final cost to buyer will be $273 or so and I'm guessing they and whoever was bidding them up messed up. For $5 it would have suited my old 16.5 Contra, but that where I exited (for context I bought a new one of these bars at a shop back in 2005 for only $150)
Well im dieing to know!! Post your loot photos and what you paid for it!
I personally was keen for stuff that didnt mind a bit of hoseing literally just wanted to buy the kite pumps and wetsuits and helmets. An eerily low amount of kites were for sale.. so i smelt something funky going on there possibly being resold for full rrp? Its not like theyre old second handy pile guarded theyre current stock from the fire and water.
Either way if these windwings dont save the industry might see a few more fire sales in coming years. I hope it gains traction and we become the new SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY and saturday CLOSEING DOWN SALE!!! GET YOURSELF A BARGAIN WE HAVE BOW KITES WE HAVE BOW KITES AND MORE BOW KITES!! LOOKING FOR A FOIL WE HAVE HUNDREDS OF THEM COME ON DOWN I KNOW WEVE CLOSED DOWN BEFORE BUT THIS TIME ITS FOR GOOOOOD SO COME ON DOWN BEFORE ITS ALL GONE AT KITES A MILLION!
Watched this closely but the deals quickly evaporated to 10% off RRP with a sprinkling of carcinogenic particulates for your trouble.
