A big heads up to the Shire of Irwin for financial sponsorship, this will be going straight into keeping the costs down for those attending, also big thanks to shire staff for getting behind the event, and especially Shannon Taylor
from events,
Dongara is a cracker of a venue with miles of beach vehicule access, great accomadation options, stunning coastline and big wind , Looking forward to seeing you all

Travelling to the Midwest windfest? Come in and stay at the Dongara Tourist Park. Dongara Tourist Park has powered and unpowered sites as well as cabins. The park is backed on to South beach and is a walk away from the starfish caf? providing easy access to the beach. BOOK IN QUICK!!
Will you be releasing tickets cauncy? Or selling them at the beach?
Will post details on all the event soon
I will be donating a custom board to be raffled off for RFDS
When you get ****ed up in our dangerous sports, they will be the ones getting you back to base for treatment. For free too.
Interestingly is Dongara TP a site sponsor?
The guys at the tourist park are chipping in some money
to an event, not sure yet but may also offer some discount to attendants

Cheers for the generous donation,
some artwork on the board in order??
Was at last years, and loved it. Locked in for this year, and accommodation booked at Dongara TP.
Looking forward to it! Great work on getting it up and running again Cauncy
Accom booked. cant wait ! Never been to D before.
I knew a young woman once who said that she'd not been to the D.
I belived her until she got there and certainly knew her way around.
I didnt complain though... From what I've heard since she's been back plently of times!
A 7 hour flight to Dongers or 7 hour drive to Merimbula? Problem these days .. too much choice.
Yo peahi
The clashing of dates were never intentional , the Midwest windfest dates of 23/24/25 November are due to me having 11 birthdays here on the 23rd, it's always blown it's arse off on that day without fail,
By all accounts the Merimbula is a great weekend
and well worth attending
The Midwest windfest is about highlighting our stunning coast and conditions
also giving the town a bit of a boost whilst crew are attending, it's a good time for brands and retailers to demo the latest gear, having it later makes no sense, and was great to see nearly all brands represented last year, Were hoping to have a beach party with BBQ and band, another night at the drive in movies, course racing , big downwinder as last year was a big highlight for all that attended, This event is run with limited funds and tons of unpaid hrs by myself, dave whettingsteel and rob and Kat Smallwood, plus a few helpers on the day, we just want everyone to have a fun weekend with wind , the plan is also to change venues which keeps it fresh and crew get to kite different sections of our coastline
cheers and might see you here

Awesome... just booked in for a hillbilly crowd of us and the familios!
Had an epic down winder from big 4 caravan park to head butts ... which I guessed at ~15km, and it turned out to be nearer ~25km. and our ground crew had some transport issues, so we nearly missed each other... other than the ... oh crap, it all looks like the same sand dunes, that was truly an epic down winder with awesome waves much of the way.
hey guys im looking for a good band/artist/dj for the event, ive heard coastal drift are a good listen, any recommendations are welcome, cheers
