Yeah epic. There's been a trend recently of strapless, using the least kite etc but how good is it watching strapped, full noise kiting. Sick video, thanks for sharing.

Totally agree with this, love seeing people enjoy the power from the kite and just going apesh!t.

How good is the airborne topturn and get thrown back onto the wave by the kite move!

Yup, great move for sure! I have been watching this clip a few times to see when they redirect and their hand movements on the bar to get the timing right on that move. Going to work on that when I get home!

Cool vid.

Strapped can push the boundaries so much further. It's rare to see it but so cool when it's done well.

Yeah love that move! Something to work on next summer. Would love to hear more about how you get that much energy from the kite on the top turn to boost like that.

Thanks for all the awesome comments

we are all just surfers down here and find strapped boards are best suited to our conditions...and so much more FUN

Dave ...the best airs is all to do with the surfboard and lip...looking for a vertical lip (that wont snap your ankles or knees!) to hit that will project you up and out. A good air requires no kite...but a kite can be used as back up if you start drifting off the back....I started using the Ultra this year...the light bar pressur means you can concentrate on surfing...i found i would send the Ultra with 1 hand half way up a wave just before hitting the lip and the ultra would move at the right pace thru the move

Falco ...we still have not snapped a board! Chapstar in dunsborough makes them...i try to get a new one each year ...as we keep fine tuning the design for good waves.

So is the trick to landing back on the wave to use the kite for more of a "downwind yank air" rather than an "upwards boost air" ? I think I understand what you're doing there and it looks fun as hell!

Thanks for that, I notice you guys are getting some really good speed out of your bottom turns which must help heaps getting air off the lip. I like that the air time is coming from the board and timing more than the kite.

Cheers
