Hi all,

we are couple of friends heading down to Jervis from Sydney this weekend to hopefully catch some wind.

If anyone wants to join or are already down there and wants to meet up we would love to meet you! We unfortunately don't have any more space in the car though..

Also, if anyone with a bit of insight could tell me if you get shallower waters in some places rather than others it would be great, as I am bringing a few beginners. I know its right now looking like its going to be NE and I have read up on the spots but local knowledge is always preferable.

Feel free to shoot me a message, we are camping and would love to share a beer as well. If there is no wind we'll find some other activity or play tag with the kangaroos or whatever

Cheers
Lukas

Hey Lukas,

The beach just south of Moona Moona creek is probably the best place for beginners; it's safe and the wind is pretty solid.
Park on Illfracombe Avenue. Try to avoid the temptation to kite in the creek, it's usually full of kids.

You may find shallower spots inside the bay, but the wind will probably be gusty.

Outside the bay, Lake Wollumboula would normally be ok, but I think it's out of action at the moment.
On a very high tide, the Shoalhaven river can sometimes be good and shallow at Shoalhaven Heads, but I don't think the tide is good for this weekend.
