I can already boost and backroll, and I've got something to work on in high wind. But in light wind I need something to work on, I don't have a talent for looping, so not that. And I don't want to try any of that risky stuff that the better kiters do right on the shoreline.
And I don't have a light wind kite.
I feel like I may have just answered my own question,

U don't need talent to loop a kite....

Start off with downloops (fronthand) on your transitions, this gives you more pull through the turns and is a great way to start looping.....u will get spanked a few times when start to do full kiteloops (backhand) but if u want to progress with ur tricks, it gives u the power and more time in the air to nail those tricks.....

Also, with the light wind stuff look for a big kite like a zephyr etc....this helped me progress very quickly because the big kites are slow and docile, it gives u more time to practice and learn more....

Good luck psycho....

I really went for it with the kite loops a couple of years ago, mostly I just ended up getting hurt A LOT.
I've got the downloops fairly well dialled, and there's absolutely no budget for a light wind kite.
Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Frontroll, Inverted Frontroll, Darkslide?

I'm gonna have to google the inverted frontroll. That sounds like an excellent idea. Thanks

backroll transition. Backroll transition with kiteloop. Backroll transition to toeside.

I find darkslides difficult when not powered so wouldn't recommend them for lightwind if you don't have a big kite as you'll end up needing to commit to a big loop just to get about 0.5 seconds of darkslide action (okay exaggeration but you know what I mean)

Get the Duotone app and dig through the tutorials. Plenty of stuff to play with.
