Had one and have had a firewire vanguard in FST (not kite) construction. Used both boards as 1 board quivers (kite & surf), so on the high side of volume for kiting. The rabbit was in the original bamboo construction, which i would assume is comparable to the e-flex they are currently selling. Ran deck grip on it. Was starting to get some heel compressions on the deck but i was pretty happy with the construction (i didn't really do airs with it).
It was a zippy and snappy little board. Good stability and surfing it, it just seemed to jump up and fly. ultimately wanted to push the trick/air side of things kiting and accepted that non kite specific construction was never going to last with my fat un-co a** trying to land on it and got a naish skater and axis new wave equivalent.
