Hey all

I recently got to briefly fly the Enduro 9M V1 on 25M lines. I was really impressed with its looping ability and it instantly gave me the confidence to push some rotations in my kiteloop jumps, though admittedly it only offers about 60% of the yank / power when looping compared to the Vegas which could leave you feeling a bit unsatisfied after awhile maybe?

I'm trying to get my hands on another demo but I was also hoping to hear from those in the know on a few questions:

1. Would a 10m with 22M lines be a better option for big air looping than a 9M on 25M lines? (20-30 knots)

2. How's the unhooking? I found the kite pretty twitchy but didn't have the right conditions to try. Any line slack?

3. Any aspects / cons people don't like about the kite?

Cheers

What setting did you have it on?
Sounds like you need the freestyle setting. That gives it more mid loop yank and makes it less twitchy.

Unfortunately I didnt check but I think I remember the owner said that he used the freeride setting.

Not sure on v1 but freestyle setting on v2 is a big step up in everything, my fave setting with a short backline setting, best jumping performance on this,

Changed from Vegas to Enduro a few years ago. Very good cross over kite, capable of pretty much everything including powerful loops. It is true that tweaking it by means of the various setting makes a difference. Jumps are very decent. However, don't expect you will get anywhere near the pop (neither slack) of a Vegas. Like any hybrid kite you can achieve an ok level of both by changing your technique, but it won't be the same as on a Vegas or another pure C kite for that matter. Just bought myself a Vegas again for those flat water low/mid wind days but will keep the Enduros for the strong wind boosting sessions (and for sb/foil). I like the 7m especially, for some reason I find it more stable and direct (again, can't replicate a 5 loaded lines / 5 strut stability though).

Thanks. I really like the Vegas but Im not really worthy of it. I only unhook 5-10% of the time and I dont do handle passes yet and the rest of the time Im doing kiteloop tricks and jumps so I think the Enduro makes sense.

Perhaps your question regarding line slack was misleading me then

If you are doing rotations and tricks while looping on a 9/10 in 25+ knots you probably don't really require any advice.
