Hi Guys,
I am a beginner with a few lessons from Red Baron last year & looking forward to getting into it this summer. Have seen the posts/article from SAKSA regarding PFD's & the beach fun police. Has anybody out there been using PFD 3 rated wetsuits or are they too restrictive? Maybe the front zipper is a problem? Was wondering if I could put my old barefooting suit to use.

I used to use one barefoot waterskiing. Totally legal PFD rated 3 never had any issues on the river. Most people used them. Available from any ski shop

I'm guessing you mean a neoprene wake vest. a PFD made from wetsuit material?

Righto, that should work.

Now we all have a new excuse when marine safety get up your arse about wearing a PFD. Just wear ya wetty.

"Na, honestly officer. This wetsuit is PFD3 rated"
