One of the best flat water kiting spots in SE Queensland is KFC (or Loaders Creek).
There is a real risk we may lose this superb site.
The State Govt is planning to give free land, next to Sea World on the Spit to AFS to build an Integrated Resort Development.
The problem with this is that AFS have proposed multiple buildings that are well over the 3 storey height limit. This will severely affect wind conditions and could destroy KFC as a kiting spot.
You need to speak up and now!

We seem to be having this challenge every year from one mob or another.

its only been the one mob, ASF consortium. they will get their way eventually, kiters will need to migrate further towards shearwater pde and clog up that spot even more.

i prefer to keep it real and hit the surf.
