Hey Kiters,

My girlfriend and i are coming over to Tassi for a vacation on the 23. of November until the 6 of December. It’ll be our very first visit, so i tried to get a proper overview about the conditions and hazards for kiting around Tasmania and Victoria because i haven`t decided yet whether i should bring my kitestuff.

My girlfriend won’t be able to go kiting cause of a slipped disc, which means that i will be on my own on the water. I feel very comfy in rough conditions but i will only be able to bring my Twintip + 10m / 12m Kites, plus it`s never a good idea to go kitesurfing in an area which you don`t know with windsystems you can`t estimate. So, I’m looking for someone who knows his/her way around some of the spots and who wouldn’t mind some company.

We`d love to get in touch with you if you are up for any sessions within the next two weeks.

Markus

Perhaps some kite guys might help you..me not one.

but for locations kiting in southern Tas is Cremorne beach, clifton beach, Cremorne lagoon, Mortimer bay, Goats beach, Marion Bay, Carlton beach and park beach.
All depend on wind direction for the day.

There is not a massive kiting population in Tas so bonus for uncrowded beaches.
Tas frontal winds from west can be very gusty , seabreezes from south east/East more consistant.
Thats the Southern end ( Close to Hobart).

Where are you looking to be in tassie, a bit of everywhere? Tomorrow looks good here at port Sorell/bakers beach. Normally a crew of 7-8 literally on the water here most windy days. Feel free to send a pm if you're keen for a session
