Hi all,

Gonna be moving to Melbourne from Mexico. Would mostly be kiting down St Kilda way I suppose until i can find some better spots.

Can anyone give me the low down on the seasons for wind and how strong the winds are? I'm an 70kg rider with a 9m kite so far.

What size kites would you recommend?

Mmm I have used a 7m, 9m and 11m in the space of the last week and a half. The 30kn after the heatwave was a nice surprise.

Yeah not sure where you're using 12 or bigger, at 85kgs my 10m is my most used kite over day light savings months.

Best quiver in Melbourne is -
12 Meter
11 Meter
10 Meter

The 12 is for the lighter days, the 10 is for the winder days and the 11 is for when you don't have a f$&king clue what the wind will do. :)
