i have Wainman kites with 4 line set up for my bar
when adjusting the line length due to stretch ect
#1 all tabs at end of lines should be level/equal...
#2 the lines should be level with bar in neutral position...
#3 now why is my kite stalling (falling backwards) when powered up..
its like the kite lines needs just a fraction slack in the outside lines so it does not stall when powered up..
suggestions welcome..
Brock.
Usually because the lines are equal for most brands when the bar is pulled in for full power. If you are not setting this way you will over sheet the kite and it will fall backwards. I assume the same would apply for your Wienman kites
thanks smithy... thats how i first adjusted the lines with bar in power mode (bar pulled down)....it did not fly properly after that and was stalling so then reverted to neutral bar position and still stalling....
Yes, all set ups I have owned all 4 lines should be equal length at full power mode. Ie bar pulled in, depower adjustment fully powered
yes thanks smithy&ice legends thanks...i did some you tube research as well and the way i fly my kite i need too put the knots on the leading edges on the strong wind setting(where i use light wind setting pre tune) creating just a little slack in the outer lines to stop it overpowering and stalling.....
this is the second time i have adjusted and = the lines....i suspect the bridal is stretched a small amount too witch may have created a small problem after the tune.
the kite feels twice as powerd up in 12oclock position with the bar in neutral and the tune....i have come used to stretched lines and a under powered 10.5 &7.5 kites....tell you the truth they work better for me de tuned in wave and baywave personally.... and have no problem with stalling.
what a fkn saga hahahaha.
