Hi guys.

Heading down to margs region this weekend and was wondering how the winter conditions are in augusta? Im an experienced kiter. Ive kited there in the summer and loved the choice of flat water in the lagoon and then playing in the surf.

Thanks for any advice. If its not worth it then ill leave the kites at home.

This time of the year you will be lucky to pick up a session down there. Mostly the winds are NW (offshore or swinging around to the W or SW (post frontal). So I would say leave the kites at home take your surfboards and head to Boranup or the like. The banks around there have formed nicely so you should get a good surf in so long as the wind is offshore.

The kiteable SE winds of Augusta are generally fading around Easter time.
