Does any one out there know what happens if the wave comp on Friday doesn't run due to light winds?

Only have a 7&9m and worried there is not going to be enough.

Ok quick post on the day:
Wind was in early, brisk and seemed like it was going to hoot. Was not the case all day tho as the wind shifted a lot from SW to WSW and mixed between 15-18 to 18-22 and back and forth. Swell was due to rise as was tide. Started with small peak around 1 foot increasing to maybe 2 foot sets and towards the end of the day started to link in and provide some decent faces. Always a bit of a washing machine at back beach, but hey this can be fun and definately a challenge kiting onshore and peaky banks. FUN FUN FUN
I judged 6 heats and all the finals once i got shoe horned out in the quarters. I proudly say the quality of frothing slayers in WA is high. Great mix of styles, great bunch of people all frothing at the bit to smack the hell out of anything.
Strapped, unstrapped, twintips, noses, chop tops, who cares everyone was putting out and putting up to the challenges.
On the day standouts included the usual suspects:
Dale with is powerhouse aggressive style coming in deep looping the kite and belting the hell out of the waves.
Jake with his whippy fast style throwing so many turns in the pocket. This guy catches more waves than anyone. In a 10 minute comp he was the only one we had to start deleting scores to keep scoring.
Ry always performs with his hack outta hell using mass, unhooked power and surfing background. a mixup with some airs were great to watch. maybe a little more tactical he caught less waves and spent more time hunting for the good ones. (or perhaps just a little slow from the party the night before)
Local scabs DW crew were all shredding: Andre, Russ, Jason, Bergs, Dave, Scott, Craig etc.
Gero youngster Patrick was smashing, look out for this kid. He is an up n coming waterman. Good at surfing, supping, foiling and kiting. Lester was slaying a few backhand turns nice to see people travelling.
A standout i have not heard of is Ben Williams riding consistantly all day with a mix of riding. finished in 4th and well deserved.
In the final Dale scored a ripper of a wave early that put him miles in front. The others spent the heat trying to catch that. The wave held up solid for 3 excellent hits in the critical zone. Jake caught a million waves as usual and almost pipped him. Ry was quiet but the waves he got were exceptional. Ben got plenty and i recon with a bit more comp time and bit more riding will be up there for the win next.
Russ ensured a well run event and using the liveheats and tablet scoring with live smartphone update provided no need to keep the board updated just check ur phone and know ur heat. Others at home could keep it in check also out of the fine lano sandblast.
Fun day, fun vibes.
