Very disappointed. This is the recreational area, a lot of barbies, windsurfers, kitesurfers spot (as you see). Did not have a go on the contractor when he put this here yesterday arvo...But man.
CPP Shame on you, you greedy bast#ds
What's next?
City of Perth grabbed this lucrative location from the City of Subiaco around a year ago. The area around Crawley and Nedlands near the university generate ~$4 Mill in parking revenue per year. That's the only reason they wanted it IMO
Very sad indeed,
Does anyone know if this is something that WAKSA can persue or debate with the associated council?
As a regular to Peli Point, what was even worse than the parking meters and change of hours was when they re-marked all the bays, and made them all smaller so they can get more cars into the same space. Try opening your door now. It was so ridiculous and blatant and obvious. From a council who seemed to value the health and recreation value of an area, to a profit mongering bad council who don't care about people, just dollars.
Having said that, i will give them some credit as the lawn retic seems to have been replaced, and the lawn is super nice and lush for rolling kites up now. Guess that costs dollars.
Still, give me back full sized parking bays any day.
