Nice one Tardy. There's been a lot of love for the Acid . You must be ripping it.
I can't keep up with you . Can I have a guess at the body count ?

Flow 8'7 an 8'10
Creek 8'10
Flash ?
Acid 9'1

if this is true .....then I hate you

Aimed perfectly..... lower it and you will lose the lip when you cutback.
The aim you have gives a nice overall look at the shoulder, lip and board. Perfect, IMO

I thought it was perfect position as well. I think I would loose a head mount instantly..

Hey nugdam......i used and made up this cap ,put a couple of stainless bolts through for safe measures but one would do ,and glued a float piece to the bottom of the visor .I cut from a fin cover it also stiffened up the brim ,i do have straps on the hat .works a treat .and floats if ripped off my head .with the Gopro session .

thanks for the positive feed back on my camera angles guys .

Acceptable ......I guess

Hows the rocker on the Acid nose compare to the Flow ?

well the nose rocker seems similar ,but as soon as you get half way the acid has more tail rocker where the flow is flatter
so over all the Acid has more rocker and a narrower tail .
you can really lay the acid over ,where the flow seems to ride flatter .and has a little more speed.
for a 9,1 you can really throw it around ,it is a lot rockier to paddle than my 8,10 ,but i
prefer the acid due to it extra performance .the 8,7 is a bit more radical to ride ,but its no surprise being a lot shorter narrower
and 5 less litres ,I do like the acid in bigger waves ,but seems to rip in medium waves too as show ,
I'm surprised it doesn't get more of a wrap ,its a great board .

SunnyBouy, you may have some ancestors that ended up there.
No surfing for them though...

Nice vid! Yeah you are throwing that 9'1 around like it is a toy. I love the POV from the head cam as you see how aggressively the Acid bottom turns and snaps off the top. My 8'10 Acid is a keeper and I get hassled by a major SUP brand, who I have done some marketing work for, to sell it and ride their gear.

That is awesome that you got an Acid after reading my review! (I wrote the 2018 global product brochure for a major brand so have a bit of experience writing about boards - it was cool to get paid for doing that!)

It seems like the Sunova guys have expanded their range with some very interesting hybrid models like the Creek and Flash - but the Acid is still the Don. What continues to blow me away with my 8'10 is how so easy it is to rip in small or crappy waves for a board they say is for high performance in quality waves. The Acid: A high performance board for sucky bowly waves. From chest high up to head and a half, maybe a little more in the right conditions. If I read this before I got to demo my Acid I would not have bought it at all!

I have tried a few different fin sets and recently got on to these which make it turn with more grip - just keeps the board turning tighter than ever before: https://mfchawaii.com/catalog/surf/surf-fins/v2-thruster-set/

you got paid .sweet.
yep i can vouch for that ,its just as good in small waves ,it feels like it has no restrictions ,
also had help decided from cantsupenough, also a acid lover .

I'm running some FCCS 7 ,may try and score some MAUIS later ,they make great windsurfing fins too.

had the 9,1 in some serious waves today ...love the way it can tuck in and go, and stick half way up the wave .

Ha... I rode my 9'1 Acid in 1' waves this morning.
weighed myself after the session. 108 kg... on a 125 liter board.
1.15 ratio and it actually felt pretty good

I can't wait to get on some real waves on the 9'1.... and maybe lose all the weight I gained in Thailand
