ELChappo. Serenity plus paddling there with no wind or noise. Have you paddled up Muddy Creek at high tide? Feels like Kakadu.

For the last two weeks, it's been non-stop east wind, that screws up every surf spot on the east side of Okinawa... Well, today it stopped, and we had a 2 meter swell running at about 12 seconds with very little wind. Unfortunately, there's a new island that's formed directly east of us, just south of South Iwo-jima, and a huge pumice raft has arrived from the volcano. Conditions were great, but a few "waiting periods," where big rafts of pumice would float through the lineup. Some serious big floating rocks that could do serious damage to a board Pumice all over the board after paddling in through the raft near the shore.

A pumice raft piled up in the paddle in/out spot.

Pumice piled up on the beach.

Some serious floating rocks.

Point we surf in the background. About 1.2km from the put in point.

Gusting 40 knots and over from the West. Thinking of heading out Nobys beach to catch the best of it funnelling right down the Hunter Valley.

Had soooo much fun out there in similar conditions a month back. I do recommend a helmet to avoid flying boards to the noggin.

Down the local. It was flat and the tide was going out. Took the 9'4 Creek out anyway for a paddle and you know what? I had an absolute ball.

Wow Tardy. The kind've quiver that'll have you playing rock, paper, scissors for hours trying to decide which board to choose. Real nice - thanks for posting man.

All my friends have naish boards , so of course I had to get my 11,4 nalu out ,we all brought boards in 2015 ,i moved to surfing more ,but they are still happy with cruising , was a good day cruising in the lagoon and a few beers to follow

Took the new Revo for a spin this morning.
Lumpy, average conditions but scored a few fun ones that stood up nicely. The Revo just accelerates. Early impressions, it's turbocharged fast, manouverable and is gonna be a beast. The rails are incredibly thin - like a longboard - literally feels like a longboard under the arm. only v. slight dome in the deck - barely anything.
Stuck a Tyler Warren 10.5 in because - well, why wouldn't ya!!? Yeeeeew!!!!
