Next photos come from my collection some boards which I used to own ( gave one away, sold each other one I had to someone who had room to hang them on the wall..they are works of art).. and others are off the net.
Below is I think Bruce Wylie or Rohan Cudmore jumping a proto but can't be sure but possible Wylie. Someone else may know.
I don't have any Bomboras anymore but I do have a Hi-Tech, using templates of Craig Maisonville, as shaped by Adan Nicholson (Bombora shaper in WA).
Its kind of a shame they are not around any more. There shapes were pretty rad back then! And its a pretty cool name IMO.
I feel they aren't really a bombora proto if they are shaped under license by someone else and had bombora stickers applied. They may have worked as a windsurfer board. The only "art" worth hanging in the wall is from Mark Paul's original air brush.
Thanks heaps guys - the artwork is really unique, bit like mambo......
id like to get some done for my beach shack!
was mark responsible for the artwork?

YES.
RichardG, the blue one was way ahead of its time. Twin US box = FOIL READY!!!! BAHAHA!
Yes it does almost look foil ready or almost a quad like configuration. I had a 7'10" Bombora Proto version of that, not pictured with Clockwork Orange artwork underneath, with the assymetric finbox for either tack. It was a sinker and not worth trying to uphaul at 70 kg. If I could find that board again it would be good, maybe it will turn up at the tip or on gumtree. By way the words below were not on my board and I do not condone them, principal interest was windsurfing back then. The artwork I got was the same as below but from the album soundtrack of synthesisers and classical music which did not contain the words below. After all this was 1984 post punk, post new wave, harking back to the 1970s classic film of the Anthony Burgess novel.
