Hi All,

Boggy is closer to me than West Lakes or Goolwa, but i dont know much about it. Is it appropriate for a learner on a windsurfer? She has the basics, but is keen to progress.

Cheers Anthony

Yes excellent spot for learners, especially when the SW sea breeze start coming in, as it is on shore direction . Can sail in any direction but as a learner would avoid a Northerly as it is offshore and gusty. Plus shallow enough to touch the bottom. Best time is mid morning for learners as the wind usually picks up during the afternoon. Normally always someone there if the forecast is good.

Boggy is the worst place in the state to windsurf, it stinks, your foot goes thru the stink mud up to your ankle, if u suffer hayfever the grass and pollen blowing across the fields is horrendous.
Go anywhere but here.!!!

asdmuzak , have you been been to Boggy lately? obviously not.
AzF have a look at gpsteamchallenge.com.au/team/view/123 Most of these sailors sail at Boggy on a regular basis.
If you have not already been there go have a look this Saturday, it may be hard to get a park

We have been going to boggy every Wed arvo for the last 3 weeks and its been pretty good. Nice grass to rig up on, and the wind has been OK for learning, Yep you sink in the mud, and I did dodge a snake on the way down the track., but its a pass for me.
However would be nice if there was a deli or a pub ( at least for take away).
