Looks like there's a bit of South West wind and swell forecast for Sunday. Could be good for some Cremorne front beach wave sailing? Tide is OK. Low pretty early then high early arvo.

looks like its going to crank up the east coast, with a nw swell in the morning which could be very interesting

any thoughts on the best spot in those conditions?

I think Tony and Les are going to sail Middleton- have heard it can be great down there in these big southerlies-- jump city!

It's always a bet. The prospect of DTL is tantalising Maria is showing 35Knots all day! Over 40ATM. I'm going for a look.

How did you go?
we went to Gordon jetty-- many stories about this epic place from 20 years ago!!!
Yes was windy full on 4.5 weather. swell / wind chop yes ( dorans on steroids).
Hard to line up decent jumps-- we think tide related here.
The sailing would be better if outgoing tide on south/ south west.
Overall we all had fun and excited we checked out a new spot.
shantersize it!!!- ye ha, we predict it could be like this ( grained it out a bit to stop the drooling, and camera man drunk!)

Yep. We hit the jackpot; Snowboarding and skiing Saturday and a rare Buxton Piont session for cold water recovery therapy post snow sports. At half mast sets, 25-30 Knots cross off breeze sending just enough of a plume of spray peeling off the lip to cool our faces. As the tide rose and the breeze swung a little to set up some jumping. With the wind filling into the bay too let us smash some full speed flat water jybes.. It wasn't perfect because we were a little overpowered at times with 4.7m sails and our small wave gear.
Appleman took a rare spell out of the water because he needed a rest! Unhead of! He grabbed the trusty old 5D Mk 2 and showed he's no slouch behind the camera either. I think he got shot of the day. Unforgettable.
Middleton looked "Mentalist" Not quite Hood River but I'm sure the snaps don't do it justice. Well get Apple down there next time to fire some frames.

Think I like the colour of the water up Kelvo than Gordo. Looked a little more tropical if Tassie can ever look tropical.

Looks like Kelvo was the place. I tried Cremorne. 6 runs. Caught 2 waves which were very memorable. But the rest of the time I was floating around waiting for the wind and swell to get the timing right or getting flung around by the super gusty winds. Flat then a couple of sets. Real hit and miss. Better than no sail at all, but not as good as Kelvo.
