Keahi's back! Takes WIN in Dakhla on his first comp

He sat out most of summer, all winter, flying a drone instead of a kite. And His first major comp back was the Dakhla Wave and Strapless Freestyle Event in Morocco, run by the GKA.

With a track record of winning every event he's entered in Morocco, three in total; Keahi wasn't exactly going to launch a half pumped kite for the event. He came out swinging, and blew the overall champ Matchu Lopes out of the water.

"Wow, What a day! After 5 days with almost no wind, we finally got a full day of wind to complete the competition." Exclaimed Keahi on social media this week. "So happy to make it my 4th win here in Dakhla ??. Feels amazing to be back on top after coming back from injury. Massive congrats to Matchu Lopes for taking out the title and Airton Cozzolino for taking 2nd in the event and the overall rankings. Can't wait to see what next year brings!"

Next year is almost here, and well rested from a few months off with an injury, who knows what Keahi is going to bring to the table in both the Kitesurfing and Stand Up Paddling world. One thing's for sure, it's good to have our Keahi back on the podium!
