Sydney Has Eyes On The Sky For Rnd 4 Of NKL

Sydney siders are in for a spectacle this weekend as kiteboarders from across New South Wales will converge on the city to compete in Round 4 of the Classic Holidays National Kiteboarding League (NKL).

The Sydney round will see a massive weekend of kiteboarding action at Dolls Point Beach from 20-22 January 2017, with the top male and female kiters in both Freestyle and Big Air disciplines heading for the series Grand Final in February 2017.

As well as the competition to find NSW's best ranking kiteboarders, families, adults and kids can try kiteboarding along the beach at the free 'Have a Go' sessions at 11am.

President of Kiteboarding Queensland & Northern Territory Inc. (KBQNT) and NKL Event Director, David De Witt, said the series has been off to a flying start and he can't wait to see what Sydney will bring to the table.

"Last year, Sydney put on an amazing show for us and we look forward to seeing what the New South Wales riders have in store for us again this year," said Mr De Witt.

"In a first for the sport, anyone in the local area can come down at 11am for our free 'Have a Go Sessions', learn about kiteboarding, get a taste for the sport on a trainer kite and watch on as the state's best battle the wind and the waves with their impressive tricks."

The Classic Holidays NKL is proudly sponsored by Classic Holidays and Kiteboarding Australia, and supported by industry sponsors Ozone, Cabrinha, North, Axis and Konrad, and exclusive car hire partner, RedSpot.
