Silly question, but I seem to struggle to carry my kite in the water. It's a single strut. I can't seem to lift it off the water to let it fly, especially if trying to go downwind, for example back to shore after a 'self rescue landing'.Any advices ?

It can be tricky. Try lifting right up high over your head with your other hand on the strut pushing it up. If that doesn't work you can try turning it over and letting the tips ride on the water and walking slowly downwind allowing it to drift on the tips. Slow but steady and this will only use one hand if you're also carrying a board. You can also clip your board to your leash and drag it behind if you need both hands, if that works for you. There is another way which is a bit trickier, you can grab one tip and "fly" the kite above your head, but this definitely takes a bit of practice and 2 hands to keep it steady.

Or use your safety leash attached to the pump-loop in the middle of the kite and let her float on her own?
